While acknowledging the various protocols of taking a trip at the present time, Campbell highlights the various locations where once here, the vacationer can “enjoy Nicaragua’s unmatched natural beauty, make a connection with nature, clear their mind and discover the magical landscapes in the open air”.
She also notes; There are a total of twenty-seven volcanoes is Nicaragua, seven of which are considered active. More than 18 percent of the country is a protected area and there are three biosphere reserves. Nicaragua has more than 700 species of birds and two of the seven beaches in the world where turtles come ashore in an “arribada” a huge arrival of turtles ready to lay their eggs.

Macizo de Peñas Blancas – Located between the departments of Jinotega and Matagalpa, a mountainous formation and part of the Bosawás biosphere reserve. Explore nature, rural life and hiking trails in and around this natural rock formation and waterfalls surrounded by tropical jungle.
