Press Release: Nicaragua becomes the fourth country in Central America where the MINISO franchise store offers a range of products for the home, health, beauty, fashion, toys and sports (among others).

With an international presence, MINISO engaged the law firm of García & Bodán to advise them on setting up business in Nicaragua. The brand will have two stores in the country, both in Managua. One is already open in the Galerías Santo Domingo Shopping Center and the other, to be open soon in Metrocentro Shopping Center.

Ciri Honduras is the company operating the MINISO franchise in Nicaragua and García & Bodán assisted with obtaining permits and also negotiating the leases for both shopping center locations.

MINISO also has a Central America presence in Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador as well as in eighty countries around the world.

Founded in 2013, Miniso opened its first store outside of Asia three years later in Mexico and today it already has 120 stores in that market.

With Japanese-inspired design, the company offers a range of products in the categories of home, health and beauty, fashion, toys, sports, cosmetics, technology, stationery, travel, and bags and backpacks, among others. Products are designed in Japan, Norway, Denmark, and Switzerland, and manufactured in Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, and China.

Galerías Santo Domingo

Galerías (as it’s more commonly known) is Nicaragua’s flagship shopping center and entertainment complex. Galerías is in an easy to get to location (Rotonda Jean Paul Genie, Km 7 on Carretera a Masaya) with a modern design that offers services and activities for all ages and in one place. Their 180 commercial establishments include brand name stores such as; Zara, Tommy Hilfiger, Salvatore Ferragamo, Pull and Bear, Guess, Stradivarius, Swarovski, Siman and many more. The Zona Viva has over 20 restaurants offering seafood, Japanese food, Mediterranean, Spanish and Italian fusion as well as bars, a sports area and ten movie theaters.

Metrocentro

Further north on Carretera a Masaya at Rotonda Rubén Darío, you will find Metrocentro, another of Managua’s famous shopping centers. This landmark location is one of the first reference points that new Nicaraguans learn. There are over 120 different premises including; department stores, pharmacies, supermarkets, movie theaters, banks, restaurants and the popular food court. The new restaurant area includes; Italinissimo, Buffalo Wings and Carl´s Jr.
